Ellis Earl Stacey, 80, of Kingsland died Aug. 11, 2015

Ellis Earl Stacey, 80, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Aug. 11, 2015. He was born to John and Velma Stacey on April 29, 1935, in Perdue Hills, Alabama.
Mr. Stacey proudly served in the U.S. Army in the early ’50s. Ellis was a floor tile installer for many years and had his own business in the Kingsland area. He had been a member of the Kingsland Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, the Buchanan Bass Busters and the National Rifle Association. Mr. Stacey enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football.
Mr. Stacey is survived by son, Norman Stacey of Kingsland; daughter, LaDonna Fanto and husband, Joseph of Catlett, Virginia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ellis was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Janet Stacey.
Serving as pallbearers will be Norman Stacey and several close friends of the family.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Aug. 16 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. A funeral service is 10 a.m. Aug. 17 with the Rev. Richard Vandeventer officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet with the Highland Lakes Honor Guard furnishing military honors.
