Joyce Verlee Oberhaus, 83, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away July 27 at Silverado Care Facility in Bee Cave.

Joyce was born May 1, 1932, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Florence Reynolds. She married Richard Oberhaus on May 1, 1955.

She was a graduate of Muscatine High School. Her favorite pasttimes included going to swim meets with her children, cooking, quilting/sewing, being a member of “The Winner’s Circle” Investment Club, playing cards in bridge clubs including Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and watching Hawkeyes basketball.

She was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Muscatine.

Anyone who knew Joyce, knew she loved her rabbits.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Cassie Oberhaus of Marble Falls; son Mike Oberhaus of Kailua, Hawaii; daughter Susan Oberhaus of Jacksonville, Florida; and daughter Mary and son-in-law Frank Reynolds of San Diego, California, and their two children, Michael and Anthony Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Florence Reynolds; husband, Richard; and brother, Ronald Reynolds.

A small memorial service is 10 a.m. Aug. 15 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A short reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
