barbara ruth andersonBarbara Ruth Anderson passed away from this life June 1, 2015, at home with loved ones by her side. Barbara was born in San Antonio on April 10, 1934, to Elvys and Viola Henry.

She traveled to many different states and countries during her life as an Air Force wife. She settled in Austin for many years, working in civil service for the Adjutant General Department at Camp Mabry for 33 years. She retired and started working for the State of Texas with the General Service Commission, retiring in 2002. At that time, she moved to Granite Shoals, where she lived for the past 12 years.

For those who knew Barbara, she could be found in her yard on any given sunny day taking care of her plants. If it were football season, you would see the Texas Longhorns flag flying on her front porch. She loved all animals, especially dogs.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Ron Misfeldt of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Kelly (Marie) Misfeldt of Granite Shoals; two grandsons, Robert (Keena) Misfeldt and Richard Misfeldt, both of Virginia Beach; and one granddaughter, Jennifer (Michael) Houlroyd of Austin.

The family wants to thank Anne and Deana of Hill Country Memorial Hospice Group and our angel Linda for helping take care of our mother during her illness.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. June 4 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. A graveside service is 2 p.m. June 5 in Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Highland Lakes SPCA or an animal rescue of your choice.
