Hill Country Community Theatre giving ‘Regards to Broadway’

COTTONWOOD SHORES — The Hill Country Community Theatre is giving its “Regards to Broadway” through a musical fundraiser March 26.
The show is 6:30 p.m. at the theater, 4003 FM 2147 West.
The Hill Country Community Theatre Players will perform hit songs from Broadway shows, including “A Chorus Line,” “Carousel,” “Cinderella,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Les Miserables,” “Mama Mia,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “The Sound of Music” and “South Pacific.”
Seth Smith leads the Hill Country Community Theatre Players, which also consists of Kay Baker (of KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune), Maris Lynne Long, Alyssa Anderson, Ben Anderson, Glen Bird, Adam Brust, Jennifer Brust, Holden Fox, Patrick Lescarbeau, Alexandria Randolph, Sarah Spillman, Deborah Vanicek and Mandy Whittlesey. There also will be a special appearance by members of the Bluebonnet Chorale. The numbers will be accompanied by pianist Dan McMurrough.
Tickets are $50 a person or $90 a couple. Proceeds will benefit the Hill Country Community Theatre.
“We rely on events like this to raise the funds needed to serve the community and sustain our work,” executive director Mike Rademaekers said. “HCCT has played a critical role in stimulating creativity in this community for 30 years. We hope to continue to have a crucial impact on learning, discovery and achievement in the arts for another 30.”
