Jackie Wayne Connally, 66, died Feb. 10, 2015. He was born Sept. 20, 1948.

The world has lost a great man, a man who was a father, even when he didn’t have to be one. A man who taught us so many things that we couldn’t even list them for it would take too long. A man who fought the fight with illness for so many years but now he hurts no more.

His fight is over. He is at peace. He will continue to watch over us, but now he has his wings and halo. He was a brother, a father, a grandfather, and a friend. He loved bowling, drag racing and classic cars. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanna; father, Billy Ray; and sister, Sarah Williams.

He is survived by his brother, William “Pody” Connally; three children, Thomas Justin “T.J.” Cox,  Shane Nicholas Connally and Kodee Ann Connally; and two grandchildren, Devin and Cayleigh.

A service is 2 p.m. Feb. 15 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 U.S. 281 North in Marble Falls, (830) 693-4373. Go to www.clementswilcoxfuneralhome.com to offer condolences.
