Pawnee predicts spring is on its way at Donkey Day

The prognosticating Pawnee chose between a bucket of oats and a bucket of sweet feed. By choosing oats, Pawnee predicted warmer weather soon will settle in the Highland Lakes. But just after Odiorne made his proclamation, Pawnee sampled the sweet feed, making the judge amend his previous proclamation by determining the next few weeks will bring warm weather — with a dash of cooler temperatures as well.
