Ruth Robison Waggoner, 92, of Burnet died Dec. 12, 2014

Ruth Robison Waggoner was born Oct. 11, 1922, in Limestone County, Texas, the only child of Elmo Robison and Fannie Christie Robison.
She left this life for a life eternal with her Lord on Dec. 12, 2014.
Ruth met and married her loving husband, Bill Waggoner, in 1943. Bill and Ruth had one son, Ronald Waggoner.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Bill Waggoner; her mother and dad; five half-sisters; and two half-brothers.
Ruth is survived by one son, Ronald Waggoner and wife Jodie Murray Waggoner; three grandchildren, Warren Waggoner and wife Tricia, William Waggoner and wife Kate and Joanna E. Waggoner Jose and husband Rafael Jose; and eight great-grandchildren, Tyler Waggoner, Trevor Waggoner, Trenton Waggoner, Tori Waggoner, Jonathan Waggoner, Katlyn Waggoner, Vlad Waggoner and Marquez Jose. Ruth is also survived by one niece, Ninamarie German; her church family; and a small town of friends.
After Bill and Ruth met, they discovered they had joined the same Methodist church in Waco, Henning Avenue Methodist Church. They were married there by their Methodist minister, the Rev. William H. Manfield.
After Bill left the Coast Guard, Ruth worked with Bill in the grocery and laundry business for about 30 years. She also managed Burnet Bowling Lanes for eight years.
Ruth and Bill were very active in First United Methodist Church in Burnet and the community, where they served on many different boards and committees. Ruth was also active in the PTA, band members association, the Fair and Rodeo Association, the library and other civic organizations.
A memorial service for Ruth is 10 a.m. Jan. 10 at Hill Country Fellowship Church in Burnet.
