Rebecca Effie Moody, 83, of Highland Haven, Texas, passed away Oct. 28, 2014. She was born to Jackson W.L. and Naomi (Caudill) Moody on Aug. 19, 1925, in Neosho, Missouri.

She was a member of Highland Lakes Seventh Day Adventist Church of Granite Shoals, Texas. She loved to sew, cook, knit, tend to her grandchildren and read her Bible.

In her early years, Rebecca built amphibian bombers used in World War II and was a licensed vocational nurse at Cook County Hospital in Chicago during the polio epidemic in the 1940s and ‘50s.

Ms. Moody is survived by sons, Burt Fazekas and ex-spouse Carol Fazekas, Brad Fazekas and wife Janie, Younce Denton and wife Rhonda and Thunder Denton and wife Cara; daughters, Jennifer Ginder and husband Dan and Jill Morris and husband Charlie; and five generations of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great-grandchildren as numerous as the sands of the sea.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

A funeral service is 10 a.m. Nov. 3 at Highland Lakes Seventh Day Adventist Church, 6642 RR 1431 West in Granite Shoals, with Lay Pastor Gary Potter officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park on Park Road 4 in Burnet.
