Cedar Park def. Marble Falls

CEDAR PARK — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team lost to Cedar Park 11-25, 24-26 and 13-25 on Oct. 24.

Head coach Julie Downs said the Lady Mustangs applied what they learned from the first set to make the Lady Timberwolves, who are second in District 25-5A, uncomfortable in the second.

“(We) pulled it together and made an outstanding comeback for game two,” she said. “However, mistakes riddled the Mustangs in game three, and we failed to close the gaps resulting in an eventual loss.”

Downs also was pleased with the play of the freshmen, who lost 29-27, 21-25, 12-25.

“It is the little mistakes that are making a big difference in this team,” she said. “Once we get those lined out, they will be good.”

Marble Falls ends the season Oct. 28 in a home match against Cedar Park Vandegrift at Max Copeland Gym, 2101 Mustang Drive.
