John Patrick Miller, 71, dies Sept. 29, 2014
John Patrick Miller, 71, passed away Sept. 29, 2014. He was born Oct. 10, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Albert and Bernadine Miller.
After graduating high school in Clinton, Iowa, he served in the U.S. Navy from November 1962 to February 1964.
Pat settled in Texas, where he met and married Shirley, his wife of 23 years. They worked as a team on many business adventures in construction and development across Texas.
When he wasn’t working, he loved saltwater fishing and relaxing with his family and friends on South Padre Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Miller and Bernadine Byams Miller.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Shirley; two stepchildren, Tammy Collins and husband Todd and Cody Bristow; sister, Sharon Miller; two nephews, Kevin Moore and wife Robbie and Cori Moore; three step-grandsons, Paden Collins and wife Jenna, Quaid Collins and Beau Bristow; and great-grandson Bishop Collins.
