Rose Marie Long, 84, of Marble Falls dies Sept. 22, 2015

Rose Marie Long, 84, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Sept. 22, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Rose was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Fraser, Colo.
Rose was a longtime faithful member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls. She never met a stranger, had numerous friends and interests and was beloved by all for her huge heart, warm, inviting smile and zest for life. Rose was an accomplished pianist who loved movies, Tuesday morning bingo, country music, crossword puzzles, singing, sky diving and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.C. “Jake” Long; parents, Virgil and Lucy Wells; brothers Jack Wells, Charlie Wells and Robert Wells; and sister Jaclyn Rose Wells.
Rose is survived by her four children, J.C. Long Jr. and wife Charleen, Jerry Long, Marie Long Hudspeth and husband John and Terri Long Ragland and husband James; her former (but still loved) daughter-in-law Marie Long; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Curtis McNeill and wife Natalie and their children Cameron, Olivia and Savanna, Robin Claiborne and son Cole, Heather Barone and son Kaleb, Jonathan Long, Tina Winter and son Jacob, Courtney Long and Kylee Long.
Rose is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Reba Wells and Loletta Wells; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and her devoted friend and constant companion, Henry Hartman.
Rose will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the building fund at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1803 RR 1431 West, Marble Falls, TX 78654; or to a charity of your choice.
