Meady Jacob Armstrong Jr., 83, of Buchanan Dam dies Sept. 14, 2014
Meady Jacob Armstrong Jr. of Buchanan Dam, Texas, passed away Sept. 14, 2014. He was born June 22, 1931, in Penwell, Texas, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lieselotte (Lilo) Armstrong; and four children, Linda Ginn and husband Larry Ginn, Meady Jacob Armstrong III, Susan Armstrong and Donald Armstrong and wife Cathy; grandsons, Johnathan Armstrong and Eric Armstrong; one niece; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Meady J. Armstrong; mother, Sudie Frances Tucker; and sister, Helen Unger.
The Armstrong family extends their deepest heartfelt appreciation for the support and love of dear family friends, Linda and Pat Schaub and Susan and Mike Murphy.
A memorial service in his honor is 10 a.m. Sept. 27 at Putnam Funeral Home, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008.
