Barbara Jane Weeks, 83, of Marble Falls dies Sept. 11, 2014

Barbara Jane “Janie” Weeks, 83, of Marble Falls passed away Sept. 11, 2014. She was born in Big Springs, Texas, to Carlos and Zula Warren.

She is survived by her son, Benny Weeks of Arlington; daughters, Norma Jones of Tulsa, Okla., and Martha Weeks of Marble Falls; brothers, Cameron Warren of May and Gary Warren of Georgetown; sister, Zoe Forrester of Kempner; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Orville, and parents, Carlos and Zula Warren.

Janie served as a loving wife to her husband of 64 years and a loving mother and homemaker to her children. She loved visiting with her children and grandchildren as often as possible. All her life, she volunteered in her church as a teacher and an office helper. She helped with visitations and choir. She also faithfully sent birthday, get-well and condolences cards to members.

She enjoyed painting, needlework, journaling, gardening and traveling all around the United States.

A memorial service is 2 p.m. Sept. 19 at First Baptist Church in Granite Shoals.
