Harry Allen White, 58, of Burnet, Texas, passed from this world Aug. 31, 2014, with his family by his side. He was a son of Harry and Sharron (Baker) White, born Dec. 6, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Allen was an adventurer, and he could honestly say he’d been there and done that. He was in the logging industry most of his life. He left Idaho and Oregon when the spotted owl took over the woods. He had a love of motorcycles from the time he could reach the pedals. He was either riding them or working on them.

Allen never met anyone who wasn’t his friend. He was true to his friends and was there if he was needed.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Burnet; son, Brent of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Tami Lyn of Greely, Colo.; three grandchildren, Adaline, Izabelle and Teaoncome, all of Greely, Colo.; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Terry of Burnet; and brother, Jeff of Burnet. Many nieces, nephews and friends also survive him.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service is 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at Rev. Jim’s, 19605 Texas 29 East in Buchanan Dam.

Cremation arrangements by Putnam Funeral Home and Crematory, 145 Texas Ave. in Kingsland, (325) 388-0008. Go to www.putnamcares.com to sign an online guest register.
