Darrell Barnett passed away Sept. 1, 2014, at the age of 61. He was born in Houston on April 21, 1953, to Ward and Imogene (Tumlinson) Barnett.

He was a resident of Kingsland most of his life, coming from Pasadena and League City, Texas.

Darrell married Rocksand Franks on Aug. 12, 2007. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Rocksand Barnett of Kingsland; sons, Robert Barnett, Lewis Dever and Joey Wilburn, all of Kingsland; daughter, Mary Anne Barnett of Kingsland; and sister, Janet Reed of Pasadena. He is also survived by grandchildren, Lewis, Brody, Julia, Abigail, Stormy, Lily, Isaiah, Trey, Kenny, Kayla and Brittney; and great-grandchild, Kenny.

A memorial service is 1 p.m. Sept. 6 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767, with the Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating.
