Llano EDC fish fry benefits John L. Kuykendall events center
FROM STAFF REPORTS
LLANO — The Llano Economic Development Corp. wants you do enjoy a community fish fry Aug. 16 while helping fund a new addition for the John L. Kuykendall Arena and Events Center.
The center, one of the latest additions the Llano EDC has supported, offers the community a facility in which to hold many events and activities. The EDC is inviting people to the fish fry to not only support the center but get a look at it if they haven’t already.
A meal is $8.50 (plus any additional donations if desired.) The dinner, which is 5-7:30 p.m., includes fried fish, beans, fries, hush puppies, coleslaw and peach cobbler. The center is located at 2200 RR 152.
Along with the fish fry, the Llano EDC will kick off a campaign offering engraved bricks to individuals, groups, clubs and businesses to support the construction of the events center addition.
“The engraved bricks are a great way to support the development of the events center while recognizing the contributors that provided the support by displaying their names on the bricks,” said Tally Kelso, president of the Llano EDC.
The costs are $50 for a 4-inch-by-8-inch brick and $100 for an 8-inch-by-8-inch brick. Order forms will be available at the fish fry.
The fish fry is great time to visit with friends and neighbors, enjoy a great meal and get a look at the new events center addition.
