MARBLE FALLS — Smartphone and tablet users will now find the DailyTrib.com website friendlier to their devices when they are away from their laptop or desktop computers.

DailyTrib.com has gone mobile.

“Before, when you used a smartphone or tablet, you could use the website, but you couldn’t see the whole site or you had to keep moving around the screen,” said David Bean, Victory Publishing Co.’s creative director. Victory Publishing owns DailyTrib.com, The Picayune and KBEY 103.9 FM Radio Picayune. “Now, the entire site comes up on whichever device you use.”

With the advent of the mobile site, Bean said DailyTrib.com will determine what type of device a person is using and adapt the site to it.

A high percentage of DailyTrib.com users visit the site on mobile devices, so the change gives them a better experience.

“As we’re seeing more people head to their smartphones and tablets for news and information, this is a way to better serve them,” said Amber Weems, president of Victory Publishing and publisher of DailyTrib.com and The Picayune. “One of our goals is to always keep our readers and listeners in mind and ask ourselves how we can better serve them. The mobile site is one of of those ways.”
