FROM STAFF REPORTS
HORSESHOE BAY — Beers, bands and bites will comprise the three-day Beer by the Bay Music Festival in Horseshoe Bay on Aug. 1-3.
“We’re extremely excited about the Beer By the Bay Music Festival,” said Bryan Woodward, Horseshoe Bay Resort’s chief marketing officer. “We have 10 talented musical acts coming to Horseshoe Bay Resort, and we know it’s going to be an another outstanding event this year.”
Gates to the Live Oak Event Lawn open at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday with music starting at 5:30 p.m.
Jack Ingram headlines the event Saturday night along with Blacktop Gypsy, Charla Corn, Bri Bagwell and The Effinays.
Friday’s acts include T.J. Broscoff, Pauline Reese, The Matchmaker Band and headliner Curtis Grimes, who was a finalist on the NBC show “The Voice.”
While enjoying the music, admission to the festival also includes food, parking and non-alcoholic drinks. The food includes wurst, short-rib sliders and chicken Schnitzel sliders.
Of course, Beer by the Bay wouldn’t be much without beer.
On tap will be a number of Texas breweries, including two from Marble Falls: Double Horn Brewing Co. and Save the World Brewing Co. Other beers come from Real Ale Brewery, South Austin Brewing Co., Saint Arnold and Twisted X. Beers by the pint and tastings can be purchased at the festival.
Parking, included in the price of admission, is at Summit Rock Golf Course with shuttles running to and from the festival.
“We wanted to make this festival a great value,” Woodward said. “Each night you’ll get to hear four to five great bands and enjoy food and drink and know that your parking is already paid. Once you get here, all you have to do is enjoy the music, enjoy great culinary offerings and have fun.”
Horseshoe Bay Resort is located at 200 Hi Circle.
