OBITUARY: Arthur Dell Myers, 84, of Llano dies June 23, 2014
Arthur Dell Myers of Llano, Texas, passed away peacefully June 23, 2014, at the age of 84. He was born July 15, 1929, in Lampasas County, Texas, to William Myers and Mary Belle Clark.
He was a longtime resident of Llano and a member of Pittsburg Avenue Baptist Church.
Arthur married Margaret Tumlinson on April 23, 1971, in Llano. She preceded him in death in 2010. He also was preceded in death by his parents; step-parents; two sisters; one great-grandson; and stepdaughter Mary Lou Isenberger and her husband Billy Ray.
Survivors include son, Rodger Myers and wife Diane of Llano; daughters, Beth Clayton and husband Johnnie of Arkansas, Phyllis Wallace and husband Bob of Colorado and Susan Canter and husband Steve of Arizona; stepdaughter Jackie Dahl and husband Nelson of Llano; half-brother, Walter Lewis Brownwood; and numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is 10 a.m. June 30 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Danny Meegan officiating. Burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pittsburg Avenue Baptist Church in Llano.
