OBITUARY: Douglas Baynham Blackwell, 52, of Burnet dies June 20, 2014
Douglas “Doug” Baynham Blackwell, 52, of Burnet died June 20, 2014, in his home. He was born to Lorraine Schubert and Wilburn Blackwell on Aug. 8, 1961, in Spring, Texas.
He married Brooke Davis Blackwell on Aug. 8, 1988.
Doug loved fishing and the outdoors in general. He had a great love for music, and his favorite pastime was working with his hands in any way possible. He was a jack-of-all-trades and loved his family deeply.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Schubert; father, Wilburn Blackwell; brother, Bobby Blackwell; and sister, Debbie Blackwell Abbott.
He is survived by his wife, Brooke Davis Blackwell; five children, Amber Freeman, Sarah Davis, Chris Blackwell, John Nadolny and Ashley Blackwell Jackson; and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at a later date.
