OBITUARY: Darla Ferguson, 67, of Burnet dies June 23, 2014

Darla Ferguson, 67, of Burnet passed away June 23, 2014. She was born in Bell County, Texas, on Sept. 23, 1946, to Billy Clyde and Mozelle Stockton Hardy.
Darla worked as a deputy district clerk, a legal secretary and later a district court coordinator. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Burnet since 1975 and Epsilon Sorority. Darla also helped in getting CASA started in Burnet County.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling around the world and seeing her grandchildren. Darla had been married to her husband, John, for more than 50 years.
Darla is survived by her husband, John of Burnet; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Leta Ferguson of Burnet and Doug and Angela Ferguson of Kingwood; grandchildren, Krista Hartman and husband Will of San Antonio, Doug Allen Ferguson of San Diego and Jake and Grace Ferguson, both of Kingwood. Darla is also survived by her sister, Patricia Johnson and husband Lee of Waco; and nephew, Lincoln Johnson of Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Clyde and Mozelle.
A visitation for family and friends of Darla is 6-8 p.m. June 25 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A funeral service is 10 a.m. June 26 at First United Methodist Church in Burnet. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Stockton Family Cemetery in Bartlett.
Those named as pallbearers were Jack Wilson, Bryan Milliorn, J.C. Smith, Roger Sanders, Dub Johnson and Wayne Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or CASA for the Highland Lakes Area.
