OBITUARY: Bill Love, 95, of Burnet dies June 12, 2014

Bill Love, 95, passed away June 12, 2014. He was born in Burnet on Jan. 12, 1919, and attended Burnet High School, where he played football.
He lived in Burnet all of his 95 years with the exception of 1941-1946, when he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in England.
He married Glendine in 1942.
After the war, he returned to Burnet and owned and operated a cleaners and a men’s shop for many years. Later, he developed a subdivision, sold the lots and operated a water system until just a few years ago.
Bill was a thoughtful, kind, loving person with a great sense of humor, and he grilled the best steaks and made the best “hand-cranked” peach ice cream ever.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mattie and John Love; sisters Ruth Knapp and Mildred Legg; and nephew Lovell Holman.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Glendine Love; sister Lucille Anderson of Los Angeles; brother Leroy Atkison of Garland; nieces, Mickey Fuller, Linda Latham, Jan Richards and Lesley Guzman; and nephew, Paul Anderson.
Bill will be greatly missed.
