MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School soon-to-be graduates Tyler Oppenheim and Amanda Thomas have picked up two more postseason honors.

Oppenheim was named to the Class 4A all-state softball team of the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Thomas is an alternate for the team.

Both were nominated by head softball coach Chelsey Heller.

“I nominate (players) and give stats, then a committee votes on them,” Heller said. “Seniors are the only ones who can get all-star, but any classification can get all-state. Those two are very deserving.”

Oppenheim recorded 10 RBIs off 39 hits with eight walks and five strikeouts. As the shortstop, she only had a total of seven errors last season.

Thomas recorded 32 RBIs off 33 hits last season and graduates with 21 career home runs. She drew four walks and struck out five times. She only had two errors during the 2014 season, playing as catcher, infielder and pitcher with an 8-6 record.
