OBITUARY: Loys Hunziker Tippie, 90, of Burnet dies May 27, 2014

Loys Hunziker Tippie, 90, of Burnet went to the Lord on May 27, 2014. She was born June 12, 1923, at Council Creek in Burnet County. She was the daughter of Fred Hunziker and J.R. and Suzie Pabst Hunziker.
She married the love of her life, L.B. Tippie, on April 4, 1942, in DeRidder, La. She was a lifelong proud resident of Burnet and a devoted member of the United Pentecostal Church for 75 years.
For many years, she was employed by A&O Pharmacy, where she served her famous tuna salad and pimento cheese sandwiches at the fountain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Suzie Hunziker; stepmother, Dollie Hunziker; husband L.B. Tippie; and sisters Floella Lacy and Edna Montgomery.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Atkison (Larry), Sue Wills and Darrel Tippie, all from Burnet; grandchildren, Linda Monks (Jeffery) of Corpus Christi, Lisa Sultemeier (David) of Marble Falls, David Atkison of Burnet, Brandon Wills of Kingsland and Monica Beierle (Damon) of Burnet; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; three brothers, Dorman (Barbara), Darrel and Don Hunziker, all from Burnet; and two sisters Carolyn Pabst of Rochelle and Edith Rider (Henry) of Taccoa, Ga.
A funeral service is May 31 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222. A graveside service at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet will follow.
