Student-anglers in Marble Falls club qualify for championship

MARBLE FALLS — Six members of the high school fishing team in Marble Falls qualified for the Fall Tournament thanks to point totals in the Faith Angler Network High School fishing series.

They are Dustan Oustad, Calvin Todd, Keegan Stroud, Chris Hooten, Chase Maddox and Jarrett Robertson.

The championship is Oct. 4 at the Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Activities on Lake Belton. Two $1,500 scholarships will go to the first-place team, and two $1,000 scholarships will be given to the second-place team.

The final event of the series was conducted at Lake LBJ in Granite Shoals on May 3. Several Marble Falls-based team members placed in the top 10.
