Bobbie Ruth Shepard, 81, of Llano passed away May 7, 2014.

A funeral service was May 12, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Midland. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Bobbie was born Sept. 15, 1932, to Addie and Robert Willis in West Monroe, La. Bobbie went to school at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic School in San Antonio. She married Frank Shepard Sr. on June 23, 1951, at Lowery Air Force Base in Denver. They celebrated 50 years in Hawaii with all of their children and grandchildren. They were married for 62 years.

Bobbie worked at First National Bank and the Commercial Bank Trusts. She was involved as a lay reader and leader for the Walks to Emmaus. She was religious and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Midland. She once made a trip with a church group to Jerusalem.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Bobbie’s greatest joy were her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include husband, Frank Shepard Sr. of Llano; sons, Frank Shepard Jr. and Robert Shepard and wife Sylvia, all of Midland, and Tommy Shepard and wife DeAnne of Willis; daughters, Janet Sites and husband Ralph of Midland and Linda Duffee and husband Roger of Cedar Park; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
