OBITUARY: Thelma Thompson, 98, of Llano dies May 4, 2014

Longtime Dallas and Horseshoe Bay resident, Thelma Thompson, 98, passed away May 4, 2014, in Llano, Texas. She was born to F.B. and Elizabeth (Knight) Means on May 3, 1916, in Dallas.
Thelma married James E. Thompson on June 10, 1939, in Dallas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Llano.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Thompson, and her parents.
She is survived by children, James E. Thompson Jr. and wife Carol of Horseshoe Bay and Nancy Etheredge-Allen and husband Tommy of Llano; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 3-5 p.m. May 7 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 307 E. Sandstone in Llano, (325) 247-4300. A funeral service is 11 a.m. May 8 at First Baptist Church in Llano with the Rev. Rick Cundieff officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Llano.
