Mildred M. Jennings of Burnet, born Jan. 9, 1931, in Tynan, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2014.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Jennings and wife Gail and Terry Jennings, all of Burnet; daughters, Alice Jane Bird and Sue Ellen Faris and husband Chris; eight grandchildren, Amanda Barnett and Tonya Miller, both of Kingsland, Glen, Gregory and Sabrina Bird, all of Burnet, and Carter, Katie and Cooper Faris, all of Burnet; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Alice Kirchel Schubert, and husband, Eldon.

Mildred and her family moved to Lake Buchanan, where she and her husband owned and operated Blackrock Cottages from 1961 to 1973. They then moved to Burnet, where she worked for bookkeeping firms until the mid-1970s, when she established Jennings Bookkeeping and tax service.

Mildred was a true and faithful active member of Victory Baptist Church since its beginning. She was saved at the age of 12 and was secure in her salvation and relationship with Jesus.

Visitation is 5-7 p.m. May 7 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (830) 693-4373. A funeral service is 3 p.m. May 8 at Victory Baptist Church in Burnet. Burial will follow at Post Mountain Cemetery in Burnet.
