MARBLE FALLS — Marble Falls High School athletic director and head football coach Todd Dodge said April 25 he has not been contacted by Austin Westlake High School to gauge his interest in possibly coaching the Chaparrals.

“I have not been contacted by anyone officially from Westlake,” he said. “Anything involving me is purely speculation as far as I’m concerned.”

According to reports, Chaps head coach and athletic director Darren Allman is “likely to accept” the head coaching position at Colleyville Heritage High School, pending approval by Grapevine/Colleyville Independent School District board members. They will meet in a regular meeting April 28.

Eanes Independent School District posted the job of athletic director and head football coach April 25.

Dodge has ties to Westlake High School. His wife, Elizabeth, is a graduate of the school, where her father, Ebbie Neptune, was the head football coach from 1982 to 1986 and athletic director for 22 years. The field at Chaparral Stadium is named in his honor.

Dodge has been the Mustangs head coach and athletic director since Jan. 23, 2012.

As the head coach of Southlake Carroll High School, Dodge guided the Dragons to four Class 5A state titles and one state runner-up finish from 2002 to 2006. They compiled a 79-1 record during that span.
