M.B. Zimmerman was born March 29, 1931, in Naruna, Texas, and died April 19, 2014, in Austin. The beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior after a two-year battle with lung cancer.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lorene Zimmerman; parents, Matt and Emma Zimmerman; brother Winnie Zimmerman; and infant daughter Ramona Zimmerman.

M.B. is survived by daughters Becky Zimmerman of Hutto and Myra Zimmerman of Austin; grandson, Matt Marquez and Claudia Ortiz of Manor; granddaughter, Ashly and husband Cory Albright of Pflugerville and Emma Marquez of Austin; great-grandchildren, Neva Marquez and Oliver and Henry Albright; and sister-in-law Viola Sykes of Oak Ridge, Tenn. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and his church family.

M.B. was a Korean War veteran, serving from 1952 to 1954.

Visitation is 1-2 p.m. April 23 with a service to follow at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 Texas 29 East in Burnet, (512) 756-2222.

Pallbearers are Matt Marquez, Dale Wofferd, Jim Wofferd, Steve Elsner, John Westbrook and Harry Barber.
