OBITUARY: Janice Mae Perkins, 68, of Horseshoe Bay dies March 22, 2014

Janice Mae Perkins, 68, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away March 22, 2014, after a four-and-a-half-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born to Victor and Jessie Daubenspeck on July 20, 1945, in Lawton, Okla. Janice graduated from Lawton High School in 1963. She married Terry Perkins on July 23, 1994, and they lived together in Lawton before relocating to Horseshoe Bay in 2007.
She retired from Fort Sill in Oklahoma in 2007 after giving 44 years of dedicated service, 11 years in contracting and 33 years in civil service.
Janice was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She loved to dance, travel, watch NASCAR, the Boomer Sooners and the Minnesota Vikings. Her family and friends will remember her love for life, the support of her children and grandchildren and her eternal love for Terry. She touched many lives and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her husband, Terry; five children, Janette Smith and husband Brett, Gary Martin and wife Tandra, Shelly Nobel and husband Roger, Julie Brown and husband David and David Johnson and wife Rita; sister, Thelma McCrary; brother, Guy Daubenspeck and wife Laurie; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and Yorkie, Sweet Pea.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of her life is 10:30 a.m. April 5 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls with the Rev. Casey officiating.
