Marble Falls track team preparing for district meet

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School track-and-field team competed in two meets at the start and end of Spring Break.
A handful of Mustangs competed at the Raider Relays hosted by Cedar Ridge High School on March 15 with the hope of qualifying for the University of Texas Relays in two weeks.
Coach Anthony Torns said Marble Falls will concentrate on getting ready for the District 25-4A meet, which will be conducted April 9-10, instead. That means Marble Falls will pace itself in the final two meets before the district meet with the aim of peaking by then.
The Lady Mustangs team of Chase Martin, Natalie Schulz, Maddie Johnson and Sarah Stripling competed in the sprint medley relay. Martin ran 100 meters, while Schulz and Johnson each ran 200 meters and Stripling ran 800 meters.
