MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School girls soccer team lost 2-0 to Leander Vandegrift on Feb. 25 in a District 51-4A match.

The Lady Vipers scored both goals in the final 15 minutes.

Despite the loss, Marble Falls head coach Trey Young said his team “played pretty well.”

“Our fullbacks and midfielders played a solid game,” he said, “but (we) just couldn’t get enough offensive transition to create chances.”

Young was pleased with the performances of midfielders Skyler Noack and Megan Morgan and fullback Siobhan Patterson.

The coach told his players this game served as another chance to improved.

“Every time we play that well,” he said, “we learn a little more, we progress another step down our road. (Vandegrift) is a quality team.”
