Phillip Norman Foster was born June 28, 1957, to Cecil and Bessie Foster. He went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 21, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Smith Foster; father, Cecil Moses Foster; brothers Dub and Gene Foster; sister Daisy Riley; and nephews Danny Foster and Joshua Raborn.

He is survived by his brother JR and wife Sue Foster of Post; sisters Wanda and Hank of Buchanan Dam, Brenda and Jimmy Fowler of Woodward, Okla., and Linda Fowler of Buchanan Dam; and numerous nieces and nephews

Norman attended the Llano Opportunity School and worked at the recycling center. He loved his family and staff there as did his family. Norman never met a stranger and was loved by all who met him as he was a sweet, funny and loving person.

He loved to go to the Crawfish Open and participated in the golf game and loved every one of his 11 hats as he got one each year he went.

We would like to acknowledge the loving care he got from his ornery brother-in-law, better known to Norman as “OLD FART” Hank Goldsmith, a constant presence in his life as well as Carol Jeffers and Loretta Oestriech, who became family through their devotion to him and his family over the years and to the very end.

A graveside service was Feb. 23 at Bluffton Cemetery.

Arrangements by Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Home, 900 Industrial Blvd. in Kingsland, (325) 388-6767. Email condolences to whhfuneral1@verizon.net.
