Marble Falls anglers place 2nd

HORSESHOE BAY — The high school fishing club located at Marble Falls competed in its Winter Open on Feb. 22.

The event drew 31 teams from the greater Austin and central Texas area.

Seventeen teams brought fish to be weighed for a total weight of 31 pounds and 9 ounces.

RESULTS: 2. Isaac Salas and Chris Mata, 3 pounds and 12.5 ounces; Dustan Oustad and Chris Hooten, 3 pounds and 2.5 ounces; Austin Pegues and Tyler Rutherford, 1 pound and 9 ounces; Lyle Schmidt and Jake Meadows, 1 pound 6 ounces. Big Bass – Mata, 2 pounds and 4 ounces
