Marble Falls boys, girls golf compete at Winter Classic

MEADOWLAKES — In its own Winter Classic tournament Jan. 17-18, Marble Falls A finished third by shooting 331-357–688, while Marble Falls B was fifth shooting 361-375–736.

Thomas Winters was the Mustangs’ highest finisher, earning the second medalist in the Class 4A and under division.

“Thomas Winters had another fine tournament,” head coach Lonnie Tackitt said.

Alan Mezger’s first-round score of 83 was a new tournament personal best.

Marble Falls girls finish seventh

 

MEADOWLAKES — The Marble Falls High School girls golf team finished seventh at its own tournament Feb. 8.

The Lady Mustangs shot a 359.

“(It was) the school’s best since 2009 and only six shots away from the school record,” head coach Lonnie Tackitt said.
