OBITUARY: Loyd Waymon Baker dies Jan. 7, 2014
A service for Loyd Waymon Baker is 2 p.m. Jan. 12 at Edgar Funeral Home, 109 N. Main St. in Burnet, (512) 756-4444, with Darrell Debo officiating. Interment will follow at Bluffton Cemetery in Llano County.
Loyd was born in Burnet County to Ted and Lounell Baker and passed from this life Jan. 7, 2014, in Bertram.
He was a graduate of Burnet High School in 1966 and retired from Pedernales Electric Cooperative in 2000 after many years of service as a lineman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son, Allison Baker; daughter, Shellie Polasek and husband Edward; brothers, Ted Baker and Michael Baker; sisters, Sharon Pass, Cindy Clopton and Genny Long; and two grandchildren, William Baker and Carson Baker.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Jan. 11 at the funeral home.
