OBITUARY: Emanuel ‘Hoppy’ Wakefield, 89, of Kingsland dies Nov. 19, 2013
Emanuel “Hoppy” Wakefield, 89, of Kingsland, Texas, passed away Nov. 19, 2013. He was born to Isaac Emmet Newton and Cecilla (Broulette) Wakefield on Sept. 29, 1925, in Muldoon, Texas.
Mr. Wakefield was a contractor by trade and lived with his wife, Josephine, for many years in La Porte, Texas, before retiring in 1990 to the Texas Hill Country in Kingsland.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Amo of Miami Beach, Fla.; son, Dean Wakefield of Kingsland; and longtime companion, Judy Swayze of Kingsland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Josephine (Burton) Wakefield.
