Red Raider Roundup to feature Masked Rider, music, auction
The Texas Tech University Masked Rider and Fearless Champion are scheduled to attend the 2013 Red Raider Roundup from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 27 at 3B Ranch, located on RR 3347 in Round Mountain. ROUND MOUNTAIN — Texas Tech University alumni will get their “guns up” and raise money for scholarships for local students during an annual gathering Nov. 27.
The 2013 Red Raider Roundup will feature an appearance by the Masked Rider and Fearless Champion, food, drinks, live music by The john Arthur martinez Trio, a silent auction, hayrides and a charity square prize give-away.
The featured speakers are M. Duane Nellis, the new TTU president; and Jim Douglass, associate vice president of the TTU Alumni Association. The topics will highlight academic and athletic facilities as well as recent progress and the vision for the future of the university.
The Red Raider Roundup coincides with the football game in Austin on Thanksgiving Day, which pits the Texas Tech Red Raiders against the University of Texas Longhorns. The roundup on the previous evening welcomes alumni, fans and those who support funding education for Highland Lakes students.
