OBITUARY: Linda Ware, 72, formerly of Marble Falls dies Nov. 12, 2013

Linda Ware, formerly of Marble Falls passed away Nov. 12, 2013, in Fredericksburg, Texas, surrounded by family and friends. She was born March 18, 1941.
Linda enjoyed a career in journalism in Dallas before coming to Marble Falls in the late 1980s and finding her “real home” and making many lifelong friends.
She worked for Marble Falls newspapers as a copy editor, helped produce the original 101 Fun Things to do in the Highland Lakes magazine and enjoyed a loyal following with her “Life in the Slow Lane” column. Linda also was part-owner of the Crews Inn with her son Scott Kilpatrick in the early 1990s.
She was an animal lover who enjoyed spending time with friends, listening to live music, playing shuffleboard, watching the Cowboys and the Spurs, being a chili judge at Howdy-Roo, playing Scrabble and doting on Jake, her precious Papillion puppy dog.
Linda was a fun-loving, supportive mother to six children and seven grandchildren, including Charli Kilpatrick (Marble Falls High School Class of 2008.) She recently moved to Fredericksburg to be closer to her daughter, Jennifer Ware Weinheimer (MFHS Class of 1992.)
She will be sorely missed as a wonderful, good-humored mother and grandmother to her family, a good friend to all those who knew her and by her two brothers, Jerry and Ronnie.
In addition to the above-named children, other surviving children include Peter Kilpatrick, Jeff Ware, Suzanne Ware and Dax Ware.
We love you, Mam!
