Marble Falls boys golf wins consolation at Halloween in the Hill Country Tournament

HORSESHOE BAY — The Marble Falls High School varsity boys golf team won the consolation bracket of the Halloween in the Hill Country Tournament on Oct. 25-26.

The tournament was played on Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Slick Rock and Apple Rock courses.

The Mustangs were 13th overall thanks to shooting a second-round team score of 334. The event drew 105 golfers and 20 teams, Marble Falls head coach Lonnie Tackitt said.

The Mustangs were led by Thomas Winters, who shot a 73 on the second day. That tied the low score of the round that propelled him to the consolation division medalist.

Jack Scott added a 78 on the second day.
