FROM STAFF REPORTS

MARBLE FALLS — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team lost to Dripping Springs 7-25, 18-25, 12-25 on Oct. 15.

Lady Mustangs head coach Julie Downs said the Lady Tigers featured six athletes who stood at least 6 feet with a “strong setter.”

She was pleased with the way Marble Falls began the match.

“We were passing and setting well but unable to consistently attack the ball or respond to a tough Tiger,” she said.

A lineup change for the second set yielded the same result, though Downs’ squad scored more points.

“Our passers did an amazing job of serve-receive and defense,” she said. “They were able to dig tough attacks from the Tigers. We just were unable to put the ball down on offense.”
