The junior varsity girls finished third out of 21 teams, while the junior varsity boys were 12th out of 21 teams. The varsity boys had only three Mustangs compete, so they didn’t earn a team score. Five runners are needed to complete a team.
The varsity girls were third behind District 25-4A foes Leander High and Leander Vandegrift.
“The only down side to the weekend was finishing behind Leander because we beat Leander the week before on a much tougher course at the Round Rock McNeil meet,” Marble Falls head coach Anthony Torns said. “Overall, I was pleased with the way we ran. There were some personal records set and some season bests by our runners. This shows me that they are coming into form at the right time.”
