CEDAR PARK — The Marble Falls High School volleyball team lost to Cedar Park 10-25, 16-25, 11-25 Oct. 7.

“The Timberwolves have a very competitive program and play are extremely polished in their play,” Lady Mustangs head coach Julie Downs said. “We struggled with their passing game in the first game but started to relax and play in game two. However, the Lady Timberwolves were relentless in their offense, driving the ball with attacks and serves.”

The Marble Falls junior varsity lost 12-25, 20-25 to Cedar Park.

“Although the Lady Mustangs were unsuccessful in defeating the Timberwolves, the Lady Stangs proved to be a very tough competitor,” Downs said. “We are really excited about seeing this level of play from this team. As coaches, we recognize their abilities and are glad to see the athletes perform at this caliber.”

The Marble Falls freshmen also lost 9-25, 2-25.

“This is a very unusual situation for this team, which had been playing well,” Downs said. “It was a real off night for the ninth graders.”
