Student-anglers win fishing tournament, net ‘Big Bass’ on Lake Marble Falls

MARBLE FALLS — Seniors Austin Ellis of Faith Academy and Ben Stripling of Marble Falls High School won the Back to the Books tournament hosted by the high school fishing club of Marble Falls High School.

The event was Sept. 14 on Lake Marble Falls.

The anglers weighed in a total of 31 bass for more than 54 pounds, releasing them all back into the lake. Thirty-four student-anglers participated using 18 boats.
