Marble Falls holds on for dramatic win against Burnet
BURNET — Leading 56-49, Marble Falls (2-1) forced a Burnet (2-1) fumble on fourth and 11, recovered it and gave up a safety on the final play of the contest to ensure a 56-51 victory on Sept. 13.
The Mustangs extended their winning streak over the Bulldogs to three.
Leading the charge was sophomore quarterback Brennen Wooten and senior receiver Garrett Gray. Wooten completed 35 of 47 passes for 409 yards and six touchdown passes. Gray caught 14 passes for 202 yards and five touchdown receptions.
