Kingsland Lions Club holding annual charity golf tournament
FROM STAFF REPORTS
KINGSLAND — The Kingsland Lions Club is holding its 20th annual charity golf tournament Oct. 26.
“Every charity we support is local,” member Chuck Henicke said. “All are in Burnet and Llano counties.”
One of them is Camp Agape, a bereavement camp that is free for attendees.
Some of the other local organizations the Lions help include Llano’s Meals on Wheels and Share the Harvest, Llano High School scholarships, vision screening and Adopt a Classroom at Packsaddle Elementary School, Kinglsand Little League and Salvation Army.
The format is a four-person scramble that starts at 12:30 p.m. at The Lighthouse Country Club, 118 Club Circle.
The cost is $65 per golfer and $50 for Lighthouse Club members and includes a meal and door prizes. Four holes are designated as hole-in-one chances for players. Mulligans are available at sign in.
Hole sponsorships also are available for $100 and $200.
