Burnet cross-country team wins Run For Your Oats race at Oatmeal Festival
FROM STAFF REPORTS
BERTRAM — Each year, the Burnet High School cross-country team runs in the Run For Your Oats race that is part of the Oatmeal Festival. And each year, the Bulldogs finish well.
Burnet came in first overall and won both the men’s and women’s divisions Aug. 31.
“The team enjoys going to this race each year because the community gets to see the runners in action, and the athletes get to race with all age groups,” head coach Stuart Dixon said. “In addition, the runners get to see that running can be a lifelong activity.”
