Marble Falls finds new boys soccer coach; hire pending approval by MFISD board

FROM STAFF REPORTS

MARBLE FALLS — Rick Hoover will be the new boys head soccer coach at Marble Falls High School, pending approval by the Marble Falls Independent School District board of trustees.

Hoover was the assistant coach at Frisco Wakefield under head coach Rusty Oglesby. Oglesby was the head coach of the Mustangs until he resigned in 2002 to go to Wakefield.

“(Hoover) is highly involved with that program,” said Mustangs athletic director Todd Dodge. “He’s highly involved in the (youth sports) club scene in Dallas.”

The board will be asked to approve the hire Aug. 12 at a special meeting with site and time still to be determined.
