OBITUARY: Alice Louise Christian, 81, of Kingsland dies June 21, 2013

Alice Louise Christian of Kingsland passed away June 21, 2013, at the age of 81. She was born in Llano County to Manuel and Dora (Castillo) Najar.
She was a 1952 graduate of Llano High School and married George William Christian of Llano in 1953. They moved to Kingsland in 1961. Louise worked as a teacher’s aide and a bus driver for the Llano Independent School District for 39 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Dora Najar; sisters Gloria Glover, Mollie Simpson and Frances Maldonado; and brothers Joe Najar, Lupe Najar, Lewis Najar and Mark Najar.
She is survived by her children, Wanda Christian, Joe Bill Christian, William Christian and Mary Christian, all of Kingsland; sister Selma Lee Wooten of Cedar Lake, Ind.; brother Larry Najar and wife Peggy of Llano; four grandchildren, Jason Christian and wife Lindsey, Destiny Christian, Justin Christian and Luke Christian; three great-grandchildren, Jaden, Ava and Caris Christian; former spouse, Bill Christian; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service is 2 p.m. June 26 at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral, 307 E. Sandstone in Kingsland, (325) 247-4300, with the Rev. Doug Lindley officiating. Burial will follow at Llano City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are John Simpson, William Simpson, Sam Simpson, Randal Christian, Justin Christian and Jason Christian.
